His Approach

For Lucas, building a genuine connection comes first. He recognizes that opening up to someone new isn't always easy, so he takes the time to get to know each client beyond whatever brought them into therapy. He believes therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation rather than a series of questions and answers, and that finding common ground can make even the more difficult conversations feel a little easier.

As those relationships develop, Lucas helps clients make connections between experiences, notice recurring patterns, and consider perspectives they might not have thought of before. He isn't there to tell clients what they should think or feel, but to figure things out alongside them, occasionally offering a gentle challenge when it might be helpful. He also believes that therapy doesn't have to feel serious every second. Sometimes a little humor, a shared laugh, or simply taking a break from a difficult conversation can be just as important as knowing when to dive deeper.

A Little More About Lucas

Outside of therapy, Lucas enjoys staying active, spending time with friends, and finding just about any excuse for some friendly competition. Whether he's golfing, working out, practicing yoga, or turning an otherwise ordinary activity into an impromptu contest, his competitive side has a way of making an appearance. He's also happiest when he's out enjoying time with others, whether that means a day on the boat, trying a new restaurant, or a night out dancing with friends.

When he's spending time at home, Lucas enjoys gaming with friends and watching movies, especially the kind that keep him guessing until the very end. He's often trying to predict the next plot twist (and occasionally the next line of dialogue), although he's equally happy watching a good action movie or romantic comedy. Whatever he's doing, he enjoys keeping things light, having a laugh, and making the most of time with the people around him.
