Therapy for trauma
Care that honors your story
Process what happened and reconnect with who you are now
Trauma can leave you feeling disconnected—from your body, your sense of safety, your emotions, or even your identity. It shows up in ways that don’t always make sense, especially when the world around you expects you to “just move on.” At CMC Therapy, we offer trauma-informed care that moves at your pace, helps you make sense of what you’ve been through, and supports you in rebuilding trust—with yourself and others.
What we offer
Your story matters—and you deserve a space where it can be held with care. Our therapists support clients living with the lingering impact of trauma, including:
Childhood emotional, physical, or sexual abuse
Neglect, abandonment, or attachment wounds
Medical trauma or chronic illness
Car accidents, assaults, or life-threatening experiences
Spiritual or religious trauma
Ongoing hypervigilance, dissociation, or emotional shutdown
Our approach
We know that trauma impacts the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. Our work is grounded in compassion and collaboration—not pressure or pathologizing. We use evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities like EMDR, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and parts work (such as IFS) to help you gently process what happened, feel safer in your body, and reconnect with your own voice.
Frequently asked questions about trauma therapy
-
If something hurt you, shaped you, or still lives in your body—it counts. You don’t need a label or diagnosis to seek support.
-
Absolutely not. We move at your pace and build safety before going anywhere near the trauma itself. Therapy is a space where you get to stay in control.
-
Yes. Trauma doesn’t expire, and neither does your capacity to heal. Whether it happened recently or long ago, it’s never too late to begin processing and reclaiming your story.
-
You don’t need perfect memory for healing. We work with what’s present—your emotions, your body, your patterns. That’s where the work lives.
